COLLABORATIVE LEARNING PROGRAM
Fort Worx is a collaboration between the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Taste Project, and The Culinary School of Fort Worth.
TARRANT AREA FOOD BANK
Learn the fundamentals of food preparation hands-on in a working production kitchen. Apprentices spend 8 weeks in the Mission Kitchen at the Tarrant Area Food Bank preparing thousands of ready-to-eat meals.
Learn the fundamentals of food preparation hands-on in a working full-service restaurant. Apprentices spend 8 weeks at Taste Project’s Taste Community Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and brunch.
THE CULINARY SCHOOL OF FORT WORTH
Become a American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified Fundamentals Cook in only 16 weeks. While completing work at the Tarrant Area Food Bank and Taste Project, apprentices are enrolled in The Culinary School of Fort Worth’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program which includes ACF Certification and job placement support.

WHEN TO START?
Classes start every 8 weeks, and are 16 weeks long. Our 2021 class schedule is as follows:
• April 19th, 2021 to July 25th, 2021
• June 1st, 2021 to September 19th, 2021
• July 26th, 2021 to November 14th, 2021
• September 20th, 2021 to January 16th, 2022
• November 15th, 2021 to March 13th, 2022
